MANHATTAN — One play can change the outcome of a game, Dominique Heath said, and the Kansas State freshman experienced that in both a negative and positive fashion.
Early in the third quarter Saturday, Heath muffed a punt return that cost K-State about 20 yards in field position. He atoned for that mistake later in the game, ripping off a 58-yard punt return to set up a game-tying touchdown and catching a touchdown pass in the first overtime of the Wildcats’ 39-33 triple-OT win over Louisiana Tech.
“I just kept telling myself to not think about it but go out and make a play to make up for it,” Heath said.
