MANHATTAN — For the second year in a row, Kansas State football player Dante Barnett is on the watch list for the Lott IMPACT Trophy.
The award is named for former college and NFL star Ronnie Lott, with IMPACT standing for integrity, maturity, performance, academics, community and tenacity.
Barnett, a senior safety for K-State, missed last season with an injury suffered in the Wildcats' opening game.
Also on a preseason watch list is K-State sophomore Dalton Risner, who was among 57 players up for the Rimington Trophy for the nation's top center.
