Any coach would want a deep team that adapts to whatever challenges a season brings.
Kansas State women’s basketball coach Jeff Mittie finds out if that’s what he has on Friday. The Wildcats play their first exhibition matchup against Washburn at 5:30 p.m.
“I’ve liked our depth so far in intrasquad situations, I feel like we have more options,” Mittie said. “Many times your depth is your young players. And how they’re going to respond, and how they’re going to do that under game situations is very different.”
Four of the five starters returned and are joined with several promising faces.
