MANHATTAN — School is out on holiday break, it was rare 2 p.m. mid-week tipoff the day before Thanksgiving with a small crowd on hand and Kansas State may have been a bit fatigued by a long trip home from the East Coast.
All of the ingredients were there for a lethargic performance, and that’s what the Wildcat women’s basketball team turned in with a 59-47 victory over Southern on Wednesday afternoon at Bramlage Coliseum.
“It was just one of those days,” K-State coach Jeff Mittie said. “I have been in these before where you come out and play great.
