ROME — The Kansas State women’s basketball team couldn’t handle the physical play of TK Hannover nor the blistering heat in an gym with no air conditioning, dropping a 43-37 decision to the German team Sunday in the Wildcats’ second game of their European tour.
“I think it is really beneficial,” K-State coach Jeff Mittie said of the physical contest. “As long as you fight, it’s beneficial. I think we were sporadic in that I did not think we were as physical as we needed to be in stretches of this game, but I also saw some good stuff.
