In its final meet before the Big 12 Championships, the Kansas State track and field team saw 12 first-place finishes and 17 athletes record personal bests Friday at the Steve Miller Open at Ahearn Field House.
“It was a tune-up for some,” K-State head coach Cliff Rovelto sad. “We had a few kids coming off of injuries and we needed to see where they were at.
“Fortunately, we found out some good things. They performed pretty well tonight, which is encouraging heading into the conference meet.
The Wildcats saw a lot of Friday’s production out of the distance and mid-distance runners.
