MANHATTAN — As the string of losses continued week after week, the Kansas State football team never lost faith it would get back on track.
Perhaps some of the talk was false bravado and simply saying the right things, but as the losing streak reached six games the K-State players and coach Bill Snyder were adamant they would do what was necessary to win again.
The Wildcats pulled out a last minute win over Iowa State, rolled past Kansas and Saturday rallied for a 24-23 victory over West Virginia to close the regular season with a 6-6 record.
