MANHATTAN — Kansas State's football stadium will receive another off-season renovation with the addition of a limestone wall around the field at Bill Snyder Family Stadium, athletics director John Currie announced Thursday.
The Limestone Field Wall Project is the signature component of a $3 million enhancement to the stadium, along with replacing the asphalt track and new speakers for the sound system. Work on Phase IV of the stadium master plan will begin at the conclusion of the current season and is expected to be completed prior to the 2017 season.
The improvements will be funded through the Capstone Campaign, in which donors may have their names etched into one of the 300 capstones.
