K-State ties for seventh in Oklahoma

Paced by Madison Talley’s final-round score of 5-under-par 66, the K-State women’s golf team finished in a tie for seventh place with a 36-hole score of 13-over par 581 in the weather-shortened Schooner Fall Classic on Monday at the par-71, 5,901-yard Belmar Golf Course.

K-State turned in a 3-over-par 284 in Monday’s final round after carding a 10-over 294 in Round 1 on Saturday.

Talley’s round of 66 on Monday was the second lowest in school history behind Christine Boucher’s total of 64 in the 2002 Edwin Watts Invitational. The junior finished in third place at 6-under 136, marking the third top-five finish of her career.
