K-State struggles when Wade doesn't produce

Entering the Big 12 season, everyone around the Kansas State basketball program knew it was going to be difficult to traverse the conference slate in one piece with a roster as young as the Wildcats’, but no one could have seen the letdown that was in store.

With three games remaining in the regular season the Wildcats, who are now just two games above .500, are looking down the barrel at a season that can be simply labeled as disappointing.

One of the biggest issues for K-State is the cool-down of freshman Dean Wade, who entered the Big 12 slate averaging 10.
