A week’s worth of speculation about attending a bowl this season even with a 5-7 record has removed at least one piece of motivation for the Kansas State football team against West Virginia on Saturday.
But there will be more than just pride on the line when the two teams take the field for a 3:30 p.m. kick at Bill Snyder Family Stadium for a game televised nationally by FS1.
For West Virginia, the chance at an eight-win regular season and a higher spot in the Big 12 standings — which could affect its bowl destination — and the opportunity to log its first win against the Wildcats since joining the conference are both motivating factors.
