Finally, it’s time.
The Kansas State women’s soccer team waited eight games for the chance to play at home for the first time in program history, and that historic night comes on Friday against Northern Iowa.
K-State (2-4-2) is expecting a standing room only crowd with spectators wrapping around the north goal of the soccer complex and behind the benches. The match is set for a 7 p.m. start.
“It’s been a long time coming,” sophomore defender Haley Sutter said. “I’ve been here since last year just waiting for this moment.”
K-State opened its season with a loss at Saint Louis.
