MANHATTAN — Kansas State women’s basketball coach Jeff Mittie is confident he can find players to help replace some of the statistical prodcution standouts Breanna Lewis and Kindred Wesemann provided throughout their careers.
Moving forward, Mittie said the biggest challenge will be replacing the toughness and leadership Lewis and Wesemann brought to the Wildcats, who ended their season with a 69-48 loss to Stanford in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday in Bramlage Coliseum.
“When you talk about the maturation, that stuff is going to be really hard to replace,” Mittie said. “When you talk about the culture and you talk about replacing things… we can find a three-point shooter.
