MANHATTAN — Kansas State ranks second in the Big 12 Conference in rushing defense, but it hasn’t been a shut-down unit.
Four players have run for 100 or more yards in Big 12 games against the Wildcats, two in one game by TCU, and last week Texas Tech’s DeAndre Washington had a career-high 248 yards.
“I think we missed 23 tackles, or something like that, which is just inexcusable,” K-State linebacker Will Davis said. “We can’t do that as a defense. Each player has to take it upon himself. I missed tackles that I shouldn’t have missed.
