HOUSTON — Winning the Texas Bowl might just be scratching the surface for what Kansas State could accomplish in the future.
K-State went 9-5 this season and won six of its last seven games in a year when the Wildcats had 135 combined starts by underclassmen, the most under head coach Bill Snyder.
There are major losses to the team, like defensive end Jordan Willis, defensive back Dante Barnett, wide receiver Deante Burton and offensive lineman Terrale Johnson, but the bulk of K-State’s roster should be back for the 2017 season.
In fact, the potential for more success next season is something Snyder addressed with his team when it entered the locker room after a postgame celebration on the field at NRG Stadium.
