K-State responds with scoring runs out of timeouts

STILLWATER, Okla. — Trailing by three points at halftime, Kansas State pulled even with Oklahoma State 36 seconds into the second half on a 3-point basket by Dean Wade.

Oklahoma State answered with four straight points, and K-State coach Bruce Weber quickly called a timeout only 77 seconds into the second half.

“He could see things starting to slip,” Wildcat guard Wesley Iwundu said. “They started going on a run and I think that was a perfect timeout because they hit some shots and we had to regroup and come back out with the mindset we had in the locker room.
