But the Jayhawks set up that scenario when they broke a 23-game conference losing streak against Texas on Saturday.
The noise from Lawrence has been of a rejuvenated Kansas team for this week’s Sunflower Showdown at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Bill Snyder Family Stadium. But the Jayhawks’ win elevates the game for the Wildcats, too.
“It makes the game a lot more exciting,” linebacker Elijah Lee said. “They are not down. They are on a winning streak now, and that is something you want to be ready for.
