MANHATTAN — The Kansas State athletics department enjoyed another sound financial year, producing a balanced budget in fiscal year 2016 with a surplus for the seventh consecutive year, athletics director John Currie announced.
The department had a budgeted goal of $70 million in FY 2016 and had an actual cash operating revenue of $77.5 million. Overall cash gifts totaled $28.3 million, with a record $18.1 million designated for the Ahearn Fund.
“Kansas State University … is so fortunate to have passionate fans that truly care about the welfare of Wildcat student-athletes,” Currie stated in a university press release.
