Kansas State lead Maryland-Eastern Shore 35-21 at halftime of the Wildcats’ men’s basketball season opener on Friday at Bramlage Coliseum.
The Wildcats opened the game on an alley-oop dunk by freshman Dean Wade on an assist from Wesley Iwundu just 17 seconds in.
Junior forward D.J. Johnson played for the first time since he broke his foot in an NCAA Tournament loss to Kentucky on March 21, 2014. Johnson entered the game at the 15:39 mark of the first half and converted a three-point play on his first possession, and finished the first half with three points, four rebounds, two steals and one block.
