K-State goes from classroom tests to basketball test

WICHITA — One recurring theme for Kansas State basketball coach Bruce Weber is the importance of improvement through practice.

With a week between games there was time for the Wildcats to work on some things after a loss at Texas A&M until they take on Colorado State on Saturday. They weren’t able to get in as much work as Weber would like, however, due to the classroom schedule during finals week.

“I wish we could have had a more structured week of practice,” Weber said. “(Wednesday) there were exams from eight in the morning until nine o’clock at night so we could never find a true pocket when we could have practice.
