MANHATTAN — Entering Tuesday night’s game at Texas Tech, Kansas State knew that big performances from its freshmen would be key against the experienced roster of the Red Raiders.
And, looking ahead, the freshmen will be key against the talented Big 12 as a whole.
Coming into the game, K-State coach Bruce Weber said to get his freshmen going early, the Wildcats would need their upperclassmen to give the team confidence by stepping up.
He reiterated that sentiment following the team’s 83-70 victory at Bramlage Coliseum.
“Our older guys set the tone and that helps everybody else,” Bruce Weber said.
