MANHATTAN — With four players involved in the competition for Kansas State’s starting quarterback job, opportunities to grab the spotlight in practice would seem to be limited with not enough snaps to go around.
The K-State staff, though, is doing what it can to provide a fair playing field with adequate practice repetitions for junior Joe Hubener, sophomore Jesse Ertz, sophomore junior college transfer Jonathan Banks and true freshman Alex Delton.
“It is really hard and difficult to split reps four ways,” said Dana Dimel, the Wildcats’ co-offensive coordinator. “If there is any place that can do it, it is probably K-State because we get so many reps in practice.
