MANHATTAN — One characteristic Kansas State’s football staff was seeking in its 2016 recruiting class was height, or “range” with the potential to grow into their body as coach Bill Snyder described.
“Our range is better in some of the positions where it’s important,” Snyder said Wednesday when the national letter of intent signing period began. “We have taller individuals to begin with, and in some cases height gives you the opportunity to fill out a little bit.
“In some cases we have young guys we brought in with the idea that’s exactly what we would try to do, take a young guy that’s pretty athletic from a position and move him forward, like a tight end to an offensive lineman.
