For starters, the Kansas State Wildcats were able to make big plays. That’s something that hadn’t been happening much for the offense during the season.
The Wildcats were reliant on their running game to win it for them and while yes, that certainly helped in this one, it wasn’t what put them over the edge.
All of the units came together in this bowl game to lead Kansas State to a 33-28 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies in what was essentially a home game for the Aggies (though K-State football donned their purple home jerseys, this was a game held in freaking Texas).
