K-State defense slows down but can't shut down Baylor

MANHATTAN — Kansas State’s defense came into Thursday night’s game against Baylor knowing one thing: The Bears can move the ball and put up points quickly.

The Wildcats were able to slow down the scoring machine to half of their average production, but the Bears still put up enough points to come away with a 31-24 victory.

Baylor entered the game leading the nation in total offense and scoring, averaging 686.1 yards and 61.1 points. Not only do the Bears know how to score, they’ve had the knack of putting games out of reach early by averaging 38.
