Kansas State held a lead over Oklahoma State with less than two minutes left to play. The Wildcats got down to the Oklahoma State 3-yard line with 10 seconds to go after giving up that lead.
But Oklahoma State came away with the 43-37 win.
To head coach Bill Snyder, the reason was pretty simple.
“We’ve got to improve our defense against the pass,” he said. “My 9-year-old granddaughter knows that. Although I don’t have a 9-year-old granddaughter.”
Senior safety Dante Barnett said the loss, the first one at home this season, stung.
“We had our fans behind us all game, and they made it tough for our opponent,” he said.
