MANHATTAN — If anyone knows how special Kansas State’s new football home is, it’s John Vanier, whose family name graces the state-of-the-art complex.
“It’s a phenomenal facility,” Vanier said. “When you get the opportunity to walk through it, you’re just going to say, ‘Wow.’ It’s unbelievable. They have exceeded every expectation that we had. It’s a phenomenal facility and it’s one that every other university in the country will aspire to have.”
Vanier’s remarks came Saturday during a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Vanier Family Football Complex. The $65 million facility features 132,000 square feet of space — more than double the size of its predecessor — and was funded by private contributions.
