KANSAS CITY — A typical Kansas State practice scrimmage matches the No. 1 offense against the No. 1 defense. There are a few exceptions, and one notable instance is the annual spring game.

The Wildcats conclude spring drills with the Purple/White Spring Game at 3 p.m. Saturday at Sporting Park in Kansas City and coach Bill Snyder will stick with his winning formula of the No. 1 offense and defense against the No. 2 units.

“If we go ones against twos, I have a chance to win on both sides,” Snyder said. “If we’re ones against ones, I’m going to be unhappy.
