K-State club equestrian offers opportunities to all riders

Now that the sun has set on K-State’s NCAA equestrian team’s final season, a new opportunity for collegiate equine lovers is starting to catch its’ stride.

The K-State Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) Hunt Seat Equestrian Club is going into it’s third year of operation and has competed in different meets in the region as well as several national level meets.

The club was started by Ashley Duda, a North Carolina native and former K-State equestrian assistant coach from 2005 to 2009, who was approached by a student looking to start a English discipline equestrian club in 2013.
