MANHATTAN — Football coaches often say their teams show the most improvement from game one to game two. As for college basketball exhibitions, Kansas State coach Bruce Weber said that isn’t always the case.
“I’m not making excuses, but it’s always tough in the second exhibition game,” Weber said. “Last week we came out with some nerves but ready to play and prove something. This week we were probably not quite there.”
K-State wasn’t as dominant as its 38-point point win over Emporia State a week ago, but it was very good early and late to post a 70-52 victory over Fort Hays State on Friday at Bramlage Coliseum.
