IOWA CITY, Iowa — Parker Rigler struck out seven in a quality start, Lucas Benenati got the final two outs for his third save of the season, and Kansas State captured its fourth straight win with a 3-2 victory over Iowa on Friday at Duane Banks Field.
The Wildcats (20-22) extended their winning streak over the Hawkeyes (19-20) to seven games with the help of Rigler turning in his longest outing since March 12 and falling one shy of his career-high in strikeouts. The left-hander, earning his third win of the year, notched his fourth quality start as his lone blemish was a sixth-inning home run.
