K-State basketball to play Colorado State in Wichita

MANHATTAN — Kansas State basketball coach Bruce Weber said midway through last season he expected to play Colorado State in Wichita during the 2015-16 season, and Friday that game became official.

K-State announced it will face Colorado State in the Wichita Wildcat Classic on Dec. 19 at INTRUST Bank Arena. It's the third time in five years the Wildcats will play at Intrust, facing West Virginia in 2011 and Gonzaga in 2013.

The two-game agreement with Colorado State will have the Wildcats and Rams playing the following season in Denver on Dec. 17, 2016.

"We are excited to return to INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita and play a quality opponent in Colorado State," Weber said.
