KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It’s a small sampling and much too early to draw a firm conclusion, but after three games Kansas State’s basketball team has undergone an offensive upgrade.
The Wildcats opened the season by scoring 80 or more points in three consecutive games for the first time since the 2009-10 season. It’s the first time in coach Bruce Weber’s three-plus seasons they have topped 80 three times in a row, doing so for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
Last season the Wildcats ranked No. 9 in the Big 12, averaging 63.0 points a game.
