MANHATTAN — The turmoil of the 2014-15 Kansas State basketball season is in the past. As practice for the new season begins, the Wildcats are ready to forget about the lost season filled with suspensions, dismissals and transfers and start anew.
“I’m definitely done with last year,” said junior forward Wesley Iwundu. “That one is in the books. It’s a brand new year and I’m ready to get the season going.”
Nine players from last year’s 15-17 squad have departed: Thomas Gipson, Nino Williams and Shawn Meyer graduated; Marcus Foster, Malek Harris and Tre Harris were dismissed from the team; Nigel Johnson and Jevon Thomas transferred and Brandon Bolden’s career ended due to a wrist injury.
