K-State basketball looks for better offensive production

MANHATTAN — Midway through the first half of last Saturday’s game, Kansas State coach Bruce Weber was pleading with his team for movement on offense. That’s a rather important issue for a team that runs a motion offense.

The Wildcats weren’t making shots, and they weren’t getting transition baskets that have been a strong source of points.

“We have to find some continuity on offense where I don’t have to call everything,” Weber said. “We have to get movement, cutting, ball screens, make the next play. We keep trying to score off the first action and we have to be a little more patient and let the defense break down and then take advantage of it.
