Kansas State basketball coach Bruce Weber picked up a second player in the 2017 recruiting class when Nigel Shadd announced his commitment.
Shadd is a 6-foot-8, 225-pound power forward from Tri-City Christian Academy in Chandler, Ariz. The Rivals.com three-star prospect announced via Twitter his decision Sunday after taking an official visit to the K-State campus.
Shadd, who has a 7-foot-3 wingspan, had received interest from programs including Arizona State and Cal State Fullerton.
He joins Mike McGuirl, a 6-3 shooting guard from Manchester, Conn., in the Wildcats' recruiting class. McGuirl committed on Sept. 11 after his campus visit.
