K-State basketball falls to 2-2 during European tour

Kansas State lost for the second time during its summer exhibition basketball tour of Europe on Tuesday.

The Wildcats fell 85-74 to the Kosovo National Team in Costa Masnaga, Italy, dropping their record to 2-2 for the trip.

Kosovo scored the first 11 points and led 23-9 at the end of the first quarter. K-State was never able to catch up.

“Obviously, we were disappointed with the start of the game,” Wildcats coach Bruce Weber said. “You can’t spot a veteran and skilled team with a double-digit lead and then be in scramble mode the rest of the way.
