MANHATTAN — The post players on Kansas State's basketball team haven't had a foot to stand on, at least not two strong feet.
D.J. Johnson, who missed last season due to two foot surgeries, is being brought along slowly while freshman Dante Williams has yet to play with a stress fracture in his foot and remains a redshirt candidate.
Johnson didn't play in K-State's exhibition games and after playing back-to-back nights against Missouri and North Carolina at the CBE Hall of Fame Classic, he sat out last Sunday's game against South Carolina State.
"We probably over-did it and it's something we knew all year would be hit-and-miss," Wildcats coach Bruce Weber said Wednesday.
