K-State baseball wins 15-10 slugfest over Eastern Illinois

MANHATTAN — It can be a difficult situation for a pitcher, sitting in the dugout watching his team score a lot of runs. The run support is good, but the pitcher can get a little tight sitting around so long.

Kansas State scored six runs in the third inning, and Brogan Heinen played the waiting game.

“At first I was sitting there and thinking maybe we’ll have a couple of outs here and there,” Heinen said, “but once we started scoring some more TK (Tyler Kincaid), our pitching coach, said we need to go throw. I just tried to stay relaxed and confident because it was only the third inning.
