Lanie Page, a two-time selection on The Topeka Capital-Journal All-State girls basketball team, has signed a letter of intent with Kansas State, Wildcats coach Jeff Mittie announced Wednesday.
Page, a 6-foot-2 forward from Wamego, will join her sister, Kaylee, on the K-State roster. Kaylee, a 6-2 All-State forward who was the 2014 Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year, transferred from Nebraska at mid-season and will be eligible the second semester of the 2015-16 season.
Lanie averaged 16.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.8 blocks during her four-year career at Wamego. The Red Raiders were the 2014 Class 4A Division I state champions in 2014 with both Page sisters and their father, Jim, the coach, and last season Wamego was the state runner-up.
