MANHATTAN – Jordan Willis set a career high with nine tackles against Oklahoma, but the Kansas State defensive end felt he didn’t do enough. He didn’t record a sack as Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield passes for 346 yards and four touchdowns to beat the Wildcats 38-17.
Willis took care of that self-imposed issue in the next game, notching two sacks and seven tackles in the Wildcats’ 24-21 victory over Texas on Saturday.
“He had a huge game,” said Wildcat linebacker Elijah Lee, who matched Willis with seven tackles. “Whenever we need him, he’s always there and always creating big plays.
