MANHATTAN — In the one month since Jonathan Banks arrived at Kansas State, the junior college transfer quarterback has immersed himself in learning the complicated Wildcat playbook.
Banks has studied hard, but he also did his homework before he signed in the summer out of Contra Costa (Calif.) College. K-State, he learned, was an ideal fit.
“They’ve had quarterbacks like Collin Klein who could run a lot and Jake Waters who could throw a lot and Michael Bishop who could do both,” Banks said of former Wildcat quarterbacks on Saturday at K-State’s media day. “I feel like I can do both.
