Jeff Mittie signs contract extension as K-State women's basketball coach

MANHATTAN — With two postseason appearances in his first two seasons, Kansas State women's basketball coach Jeff Mittie signed a contract extension through the 2021-22 season worth $3.56 million, athletics director John Currie announced Tuesday.

Mittie, who came to K-State from TCU, guided the Wildcats to the NIT in his inaugural year and this past season earned an NCAA Tournament berth. The Wildcats reached the second round of the NCAA tourney, beating George Washington before losing to No. 1 seed South Carolina to finish with a 19-13 record.

"We have made good progress in our two years here and we are excited about our team for next year," Mittie said.
