The Kansas State women’s basketball team was good enough to win a game in the NCAA Tournament last season and to earn coach Jeff Mittie a contract extension after two years on the job.
Things appear even more promising next season.
And Mittie is embracing those higher expectations.
“What I have seen coming off the NCAA Tournament is a higher level of confidence,” Mittie said earlier this week. “That is significant. With some teams you worry about if they have been getting pats on the back and how that will affect them poorly. I haven’t seen that.
