Kansas State filled one of three open basketball scholarships by receiving an oral commitment from Isaiah Maurice on Sunday.
Maurice visited the K-State campus over the weekend and chose the Wildcats over offers from several schools including Cincinnati, LaSalle, Eastern Michigan and UTEP.
Maurice is a 6-foot-9, 215-pound forward from Durham, N.C. The three-star Rivals prospect averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds as a senior for Bull City Prep.
He is the sixth incoming player for the Wildcats, who still have two available scholarships with the departure of eight players from the 2014-15 team that posted a 15-17 record.
