Kansas State has had a disappointing season, but it’s probably nothing compared to the aggravation felt by fans of today’s opponent.
The Game
K-State (4-5, 4-4 Big 12) hosts the Texas Longhorns (5-3, 4-3).
Once upon a time, the Wildcats were the bullies in this series. No longer. K-State has fallen three years in a row to their former whipping boys, and last year’s loss evened the all-time series at ten wins each.
Making things even more painful, each of those three losses has been a one-score affair, including last year’s infuriating 27-24 loss in Austin — decided, just like last week’s game, on a last-second field goal.
