Everything is terrible right now, but K-State’s got an opportunity to right the ship over the next few weeks. Mission One: win Saturday.
The Game
The Kansas State Wildcats (3-3, 0-3 Big 12) visit the Texas Tech Red Raiders (5-2, 2-2).
K-State’s defense has been a sieve for a month now, and Tech’s offense is not exactly the prescription to treat the malady. But Tech’s defense is also porous, especially against the run, and that will open up more opportunities for Skylar Thompson to also do some damage through the air.
The Cats have won the last five in this series and nine of the last ten; that’s staked K-State to a 12-9 series lead — 12-6 during the Big 12 era — and erased the bizarre bewitchment Mike Leach had over Bill Snyder.
