How a Panera Bread cashier helped Bruce Weber motivate K-State basketball players

Kansas State basketball coach Bruce Weber used a compliment from a Panera Bread cashier to motivate the Wildcats before they defeated Hampton 89-67 on Sunday.

The cashier told Weber she thought K-State had a versatile basketball roster, filled with many capable scorers. He thought enough of the praise to pass it along to players before they took the court against the Pirates.

They responded with a good effort. Wesley Iwundu scored a career-high 23 points, Barry Brown added 16, Xavier Sneed had 15 and Kamau Stokes had 13. Dean Wade was also pretty good, finishing with eight points and eight rebounds.
