Hectic schedule reminds K-State coach Bruce Weber of NCAA Tournament | The Wichita Eagle

This is the most hectic part of Kansas State’s basketball season.

That may sound strange, considering it is only November and the Wildcats are in between home games against overmatched opponents UC Irvine and Northern Arizona. But it is true. The upcoming week resembles an NBA schedule.

“This is like the NCAA Tournament,” K-State coach Bruce Weber said. “You play on one day, you have one day prep and you have to be ready.”

K-State’s hectic stretch began Friday when the Wildcats pummeled UC Irvine 71-49 at Bramlage Coliseum. Saturday was an off day for players, but they were back at practice on Sunday getting ready for Monday’s clash with Northern Arizona.
