KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Kansas State coach Bill Snyder elected to keep punt returns live during Saturday’s Purple/White Spring Football game at Sporting Park. That decision allowed fans to get their first look at Dominique Heath, who looked capable of continuing the long line of return specialists for the Wildcats.
“I thought (Dominique) Heath did a very nice job and beat some people,” Snyder said. “I think he is very, very viable. Now we just need to get some people to help him and get some blockers in front of him.”
The redshirt freshman finished the game with 157 yards on six punt returns, which included a 75-yard touchdown return, and 193 yards on eight kickoff returns.
